Dispositivo elettronico adesivo progettato per guidare persone non specializzate durante la rianimazione cardiopolmonare: deve essere applicato al centro del torace della persona da soccorrere appena sotto lo sterno. Realizzato in silicone, si adatta alla forma del petto e le scritte sulle ali del dispositivo aiutano l’utente a posizionarlo correttamente. Il dispositivo indica la giusta pressione da applicare per le compressioni toraciche ed il punto corretto su cui esercitarla, lampeggia per scandire il ritmo adeguato ed evitare errori. Il costo e le dimensioni sono molto ridotti, per questo può essere utilizzato ovunque e da chiunque; potrebbe trovare un’adeguata collocazione in tutti i luoghi pubblici e in questo modo sarebbe immediatamente disponibile in caso di emergenza.
Il materiale utilizzato può essere riciclato, ha bisogno di un minimo quantitativo di energia e non necessita di apparecchiature aggiuntive per garantire il suo funzionamento. La corretta esecuzione del massaggio cardiaco può aumentare le possibilità di salvezza di un paziente fino al 50%, ma spesso il panico o la scarsa preparazione producono solo effetti negativi.

Electronic device designed to guide untrained people during the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, allowing them to have a greatly increased chance in saving a patients life, or preserving it until medical help arrives. Form and graphical communication of product communicates to the user how and where the product needs to be positioned and aligned on the patient body; the wing like forms help guide the users positioning  the product in the centre of the chest, towards the nipples. The device shows the optimal way to push the chest correctly and above all when and where to press. The product has an over moulded mechanism, which when compressed by the user at the correct force/depth will ‘click’; this is the users feedback to tell them they have compressed the chest at a sufficient force. Moreover it has an on/off button, this turns on a light that flashes at the correct rate of compression (approx 2per second) so that the user is compressing the chest fast enough. Proper application of a cardiopulmonary resuscitation can increase the chances of a victim surviving by up to 50%, but performing the action inaccurately, sometimes causes even more damage.
